Mission
Statement
We, the family of St.
Germaine, are a Catholic community which celebrates God's presence in
our lives by providing opportunities for spiritual growth and social
awareness through worship, education, service and friendship.
As a parish community we seek to relate the Gospel to our
everyday lives, promote Christian education for all our members,
respond to the needs in our parish and world communities, and enjoy and
support one another in a spirit of unity and purpose.
| This
year St. Germaine begins participating in the Parish Transformation
Project of the Archdiocese. More information can be found here.

| The
Liturgy of the Hours (sometimes referred to as the Divine Office or
Breviary) is the official daily prayer of the Church. Learn more about the
Liturgy of the Hours and iBreviary here. Prayers for
different parts of each day of the year are contained in four printed
volumes but each day can be found by following the link to
iBreviary. |

The
parishes of the Archdiocese of Chicago extend a special invitation to
become an active part of the Family of God in the Catholic Church.
For Catholics who have been away from the Church, this is an
opportunity to "come home." For those searching for a church home, the
Catholic Church offers a welcome. Come visit our parish or

| Many
people find God at church on Sundays. A new website from Loyola Press
offers people to opportunity to share the experience of finding God on
the "other six" days of the week. Other6.com takes the
essence of the Ignatian examination of consciousness, or Examen, and
adapts it for today’s Internet-driven world by posing two
questions: Where have you found God today? and Where do you need to
find God today? Check out the website by clicking on the image at the
