Rev. William O. Goedert
Born 1929 in Dyersville, Iowa, Fr. Goedert graduated from St. Joseph and St. Anne grade school. He attended Quigley Seminary, was ordained in 1955 after completing studies at St. Mary of the Lake Seminary, earning M.A. and S.T.L degrees. After an assignment as Associate Pastor at Holy Name Cathedral, he was appointed Assistant Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Chicago. He taught in the graduate schools of Loyola and St. Xavier Universities. He served as Spiritual Director in the Major Seminary for four years before being appointed President-Rector of Niles College of Loyola University. Appointed Pastor of St. Germaine, he served 18 years until 1995 when he was named Pastor Emeritus. He was elected President of the Presbyteral Senate. He presently is an elected board member of the Priests' Retirement Board.
